Decision-making in the older ICU patient: How are family meetings implemented across diverse European cultures?

inclusion criteria:

• Patients admitted to the ICU of participating centres
  
• Age 75 years and above
  
• Expected Length of stay > 3 days

exclusion criteria:

• Refusal to participate
  
• Limitation of treatment upon ICU arrival (other than Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation-CPR)
  
• Planned admission

consent:
