The effects on pain and bleeding from injected and topical local anaesthesia with adrenaline versus topical anaesthesia alone for endoscopic sinus surgery.
Chief Investigator: Mr Miran Pankhania
Sponsor: The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust
This study aims to compare intra-operative local anaesthetic and decongestion techniques for endoscopic sinus surgery. Specifically this study looks at the impact of pain and bleeding of the injection of local anaesthetic with adrenaline into the pterygopalatine fossa in addition to otherwise universally deployed topical decongestion and anaesthetic methods.
